The EDWS is a unique system that uses the patented spiral element technology of Filtration and Separation Technology International, Inc. (FAST). The purpose of this novel system is to recover 90% of the final Reverse Osmosis rinse water, in a single pass, to reuse as fresh feed water to the Reverse Osmosis system. Not only will this save 10’s of millions of gallons of water yearly, it will save on waste treatment and provide a better-quality finish on the vehicle.
The distinctive patented and patent pending spiral element design of FAST provides 90% recovery in a single pass without losing tangential flow velocity therefore minimalizing the fouling potential. This will greatly reduce the cost of the recycled water compared to the cost to purchase, treat and return the waste water to the municipality saving the user 10’s of thousands of dollars yearly.
Because of its exceptional design and operational parameters, FAST intends to own and operate this system as it will be a SMART system monitored and controlled through the Internet of Things (IoT). The customer only pays for the clean water feed into the customer’s RO system at a fraction of the cost of the water they are currently buying, treating and returning water to the municipality. There is no capital outlay and virtually no operating expense, only clean water at a cost less than the customer is currently paying. A typical automotive assembly plant could save about $40,000 in water cost and 18,000,000 gallons of water annually per paint line.
