Filtration and Separation Technology International, Inc. Announces New Tubular Anolyte Cells for Electrocoat Paint Processes
LaPorte, IN (August 7, 2014) — Filtration and Separation Technology International, Inc. (d.b.a. F.A.S.T. International, Inc.) is pleased to announce a newly designed anolyte cell for Electrocoat paint stabilization trade named EDCell.
This new innovative and robust tubular anolyte cell was designed to allow Electrocoat users to quickly and easily disconnect and separate the anolyte cell in to different sections. This allows for easy replacement of membrane section only that will reduce replacement and shipping cost. “We designed our new EDCell with our Electrocoat users in mind. We wanted to provide them with a state of the art anolyte cell that would save them time and money by reducing the overall cost of ownership” states Scott Yaeger, President of Filtration and Separation Technology International, Inc.
This unique design is coupled with a welded membrane seam that improves it chemical compatibility to cleaning and sanitizing agents, provides a more robust seal, and increases the effective membrane area by having a minimal ½” seam overlap down the length of the membrane. Some competitive anolyte cells have an overlap of 1.5” which reduces the membrane effective area by 16% while the FAST design only has a 5% reduction.
In addition, the EDCell’s design allows the anode to be rotated without disassembly. This allows easy anode rotation which provides longer anode life. It combines state-of-the-art ion exchange membrane and element design with tried and true cell construction for economy, simplicity, effectiveness, ease of use, and low cost of ownership.
